We have some interesting paintings and other art this month. Diana sewed a beautiful watercolor inspired art quilt and Jim created woven watercolor paintings by weaving two similar paintings together. Also shown is a watercolor weaving by Bonnie. Norbert’s painting was painted with anything but a brush! Our members continue to express endless creativity.

Published under Blog.Another great meeting! Thank you Kim for your hospitality. It is always interesting for me to send these pictures to all of you who weren’t at the meeting. We hope you enjoy and appreciate the endless talent that we have in our group. As I prepare the pictures for the e-mail I try to replicate them as close as possible to seeing them in person. Lighting and my camera doesn’t always make that possible. As far as the critique of each picture goes, that is where you can have your own little critique session and imagine adjustments and changes. Anyhow, we hope you enjoy the wonderful paintings. We really look forward to our meetings and sharing and visiting with the finest artists and friends imaginable.
September 2010 First Thursday Paintings
Published under Blog.We thankTerri Rose-Anderson for developing this blog. I am posting the September critique meeting paintings and will try to do it justice. As I have posted the pictures of the paintings after each meeting several people have commented about how they would like to send a message to the artists to compliment them on their work. We think a blog attached to our website would make that possible. We hope you enjoy the endless artistic talent of the members of our First Thursday critique group. The photos of the paintings that are posted on the blog after our meetings are usually not complete paintings. They are mostly complete but usually there are good suggestions offered in the critique that would make the painting just a little bit better. For the final paintings you can click on Gallery above and go the the individual artists to see the finished work.
